WeeWay Transportation carries a man's name down every highway it runs.
The company is named for Dushine “Shawn” Smith — Weelo — the older brother of founder Vernon Woods. When Vernon started the carrier, he didn't name it after himself, after a road, or after a number on a truck. He named it after his brother, and he put him on the side of the trailer where everybody can see him.
That decision set the standard for everything that came after it. A tribute you can read from the next lane over is a promise you can't quietly walk back. It means the equipment gets maintained whether or not anyone's watching. It means the phone gets answered. It means a load either gets covered right or it doesn't get taken.
WeeWay runs out of Houston with sleeper tractors and 53-foot trailers, covering regional freight across the Gulf Coast and long-haul lanes through all 48 states. It's a small fleet on purpose — small enough that the person who answers the phone knows exactly where your freight is, and big enough to keep it moving.
Shippers get straight answers and a rate that doesn't change at the dock. Drivers get steady miles, good equipment, and a company that treats the job like it has somebody's name on it. Because it does.

Pickup, delivery, what you're shipping and when it needs to be there. Send the form and it reaches the people who actually move the freight.

We confirm capacity and rate
A straight yes or no, usually the same business day, with the truck and the number attached. No bait rate that changes at pickup.

It rolls, and you hear from us
Loaded, en route, delivered — plus signed paperwork back. If something shifts, you get the call before you have to chase it.

What areas do you cover?
We're based in Houston and run all 48 states — heavy in the Texas and Gulf Coast corridor, with regular lanes north to Oklahoma City and as far as Montana. If we can't cover your lane we'll tell you straight instead of sitting on it.
What equipment do you run?
Sleeper tractors pulling 53-foot trailers. That covers regional freight, long-haul over-the-road, and full truckload.
How fast can I get a rate?
Usually the same business day. Your request goes straight to the people who move the freight, not a call center queue.
Are you insured, and can I get a certificate?
Yes. We carry auto liability and cargo coverage, and we'll send a certificate of insurance along with our authority before the first load.

Do you take owner-operators?
Reach out and ask — it depends on what we're running at the time. We'd rather have the conversation than post a blanket answer that goes stale.
